Founder's Profile

Richard Hammel serves as President of the Hammel Valuation Group. His experience includes a wide variety of appraisal and consulting assignments completed for mortgage lending, tax, portfolio analysis, and litigation support purposes. He is honored to have received the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, and is involved with the local chapter of this organization.

Experience

Mr. Hammel's appraisal carrer began in 1991, shortly before receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. His studies were concetrated in finance, real estate, and law. He began as a residential appraiser, providing appraisal services in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Whitin a few years he began to appraise commercial properties, and extend his services to include, Ventura, San Diego, and Kern counties. 

 

Mr. Hammel has had the pleasure to appraise a wide range of properties, valuing residential, commercial, and special purpose properties. He has valued office buildings, apartment complexes, industrial properties, mobile home parks, regional shopping centers, restaurants, single-family dwellings, mixed-use facilities, individual condominiums, exisiting condomium complexes as well as proposed apartments and condomium developments. He has also appraised unimproved property including industrial, multi-family, and retail land, as well as single-family home sites. He has also had the pleasure of appraising special purpose properties including houses of worship, automobile dealerships, automotive service facilities, and funeral homes.
